Our Board.

As a not-for-profit incorporated association, Kyneton Food Bank is required to have a ‘management committee’ or ‘board’ that is responsible for looking after the association’s affairs and has specific legal duties under the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012.
The board comprises representatives of the broader local community (Kyneton and surrounding areas) from a diverse range of backgrounds and experience.

Board Member Biographies.

    Tony Rogers

    Board Chair

    A former Aviation professional with a historical connection to Kyneton.

    Employed with a European flight academy as Chief Pilot and Examiner of Airman, also worked with British Aerospace involved with the training of International Airline Cadets.

    Management experience includes running three Victorian Aviation Companies.

    15 years service with the Department of Defence in the Information Warfare Directorate including several years with the Airforce Regulator.

    In the non Aviation world I have worked in the NDIS space briefly, Corporate Security and Automotive Sector.

    Through my professional career I have always taken a keen interest in mentoring the next generation, a task I am passionate about up to this day.

    Rhonda Holmes

    Secretary

    Rhonda has had an extensive career covering many different industries. Whilst the industries have been completely different and diverse the common denominator with all businesses is that they have all required Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain and Distribution Channels.

    Currently an Executive Board Member of the International Women’s Federation of Commerce and Industry (IWFCI) Australia. IWFCI is an non Governmental Not For Profit supporting women entering business and developing trade across the globe, engaging like-minded entrepreneurs to grow their business in a supportive network. With Chapters in Australia, Singapore, India, Malaysia, South Korea, Mongolia, Japan, Indonesia, South Africa, Algeria, Myanmar, Russia, USA and Bangladesh, providing a support network for women in business.

    Rhonda is currently the Director of Providence Keepers, providing housing support for women and children in crisis in the Macedon Ranges.

    Rhonda is a long time resident of the Macedon Ranges having lived and worked in the region for over 40 years.

    With 30 years in the food industry, Peter has learned how food builds community.  Now, through agriculture and the Kyneton Food Bank, Peter bridges farmers to families needing real meals.

    Married with 4 kids, he gets the hustle of feeding loved ones - heart, hard work, fresh goods.  Every box Kyneton Food Bank send out carries that spirit, so nobody in Kyneton goes hungry.  “Let's keep this place fed together.”

    Tim Ellis

    Treasurer

    A recent and enthusiastic addition to Kyneton Food Bank board, Tim Ellis is driven by a profound passion for community support and engagement. Having embraced the Macedon Ranges as his home since 2010, Tim’s journey from daily commuting to Melbourne to working remotely full-time from his Kyneton office reflects his dedication to both professional excellence and local involvement.

    With a background steeped in corporate strategy, Tim brings a wealth of experience to Kyneton Food Bank. His goal is to merge strategic growth with the compassionate, community-centered ethos that defines Kyneton Food Bank. His commitment to preserving the essence of Kyneton Food Bank’s origins while fostering expansion makes him a valuable asset to our organization.

    Tim’s involvement with Kyneton Food Bank is fueled by a genuine desire to contribute meaningfully to his community, and his strategic insight promises to help steer our charity towards greater impact in Kyneton and the surrounding areas.

    Knox Dettmann

    Board Member

    Knox Dettmann, a dedicated member of our board, hails from Baynton, a close-knit community on the northern outskirts of Kyneton. Growing up in a multigenerational farming family, Knox has cultivated strong connections within the local area. After graduating from Sacred Heart High School in 2020, he has continued to contribute to his community through active involvement with the Barfold Community Church.



    Knox’s commitment to community service and his deep local roots make him a valuable asset. Eager to see our organization thrive, he brings both enthusiasm and a heartfelt desire to support our mission as we work together to make a positive impact in Kyneton and beyond.

    Wes Turner

    Board Member

    Wes Turner embodies the essence of community spirit and dedication to service. As a first-generation farmer hailing from Kyneton, he has cultivated not only the land but also strong bonds within the community. Wes is a renowned community mechanic, whose expertise extends beyond fixing vehicles to fixing problems and lending a helping hand wherever needed.

    Wes is a respected local businessman, contributing to the economic vitality of the region. His commitment to the community goes beyond his professional endeavors, as he actively participates in various community initiatives, touching lives on multiple fronts.

    Whether he's lending his mechanical expertise, sharing insights as a businessman, or simply being a supportive presence, Wes Turner is a cornerstone of the community in Kyneton. His dedication to serving others reflects his deep-rooted belief in the importance of giving back and supporting those in need.

  • Emilio Rossi

    Emilio Rossi

    Emilio joined the board in September 2021, having previously been involved with TKC for many years as a key volunteer.

    A carpenter by trade, Emilio is the Co-director of Elite Homes which has built or restored many homes within the Woodend and surrounding areas. Emilio’s skills have also been utilised in the recent renovations of the food bank and op shop.

    Emilio has lived in Woodend for 12 years with his wife and two daughters. His wife works at a local primary school which both daughters also attended.

    Emilio’s family has been involved in many community groups and committees over the years. They love nothing better than helping those in need.
